Lead the side step first
Before any turns, you learn to lead a clean side step. That means moving on time and letting your frame tell your partner where to go.
No experience needed
You do not need rhythm going in. Counting out loud is encouraged, and the instructor breaks every part down slowly.
Rotation helps leads
Partners rotate all class. Dancing with many follows quickly shows whether your lead is clear, which builds confidence faster than practicing with one person.
Building a Strong Bachata Foundation
Our Level 1 Bachata class focuses on fundamental movements. You'll start with basic steps and timing. We break down each movement into small, easy-to-understand parts. This helps you build muscle memory and confidence from the very first lesson. You'll learn how to connect with your partner and communicate through your lead.
We teach the core bachata rhythm and essential footwork. You'll practice leading turns and simple patterns. The instructor provides clear, direct feedback. This ensures you develop good habits right away. It's all about making steady progress in a supportive environment. You'll soon feel comfortable on the dance floor.
Learning bachata is a process of building skills layer by layer. We ensure you master each step before moving on to the next. This foundational approach prevents feeling overwhelmed. You'll gain a solid understanding of timing and body movement. This strong start makes learning more complex steps easier later on. Our goal is to equip you with the skills to confidently lead any basic bachata song.
More Than Just Steps: Developing Confidence
This class is designed to do more than just teach you dance steps. It also helps you develop social confidence. Many men find leading a partner on the dance floor empowering. You'll learn to make decisions and guide your partner smoothly. This skill translates well beyond the dance studio.
Our friendly atmosphere encourages interaction and connection. You'll meet other adults who are also learning. This shared experience builds camaraderie. Many students form new friendships through our classes. The class provides a safe space to step out of your comfort zone. You'll discover a new passion and a supportive community.
Feeling comfortable and confident in a social setting is a huge benefit of dancing. Bachata is a partner dance, which means constant communication and interaction. You'll improve your non-verbal communication skills. This heightened awareness of others is valuable in all areas of life. Our class helps you build self-assurance with every step you take.
Join a Four-Week Bachata Journey
Our Bachata classes are structured as a four-week session. This format allows for consistent learning and practice. You attend one class per week, building on the previous lesson. The cost for the entire session is $95. We focus on steady progress, ensuring everyone keeps up with the material. This commitment helps solidify your new skills.
No partner is needed to join the class. We rotate partners frequently throughout the lesson. This is a great way to dance with many different people. It helps you adapt your lead and improve faster. You'll experience various follow styles, which sharpens your leading technique. It's a key part of becoming a versatile dancer.
If you happen to miss a week, you can make it up during the current session. We understand that life happens, and flexibility is important. There are no refunds for missed classes, but make-up options are available. This ensures you don't fall behind. Our goal is to help you complete the session successfully. Come join us at 4820 W.
