Bachata for Beginners – What to Expect in Chicago

Our Level 1 Bachata classes are made for complete beginners. You'll learn the foundation in a friendly, supportive environment — no experience and no partner needed.

What You'll Learn

• How to connect with your partner
• Simple turns and transitions
• Sensual and traditional styling basics
• How to feel comfortable on the floor

Do I Need Experience?

No. Most of our Level 1 students have never danced Bachata before. We rotate partners so you get comfortable dancing with different people.

Class Details

• 55-minute classes
• No partner required
• Progressive 4-week sessions — $95
• Make-up classes available for 4 weeks from your start date

Many students start with Bachata and quickly fall in love with the dance. It's smooth, fun, and perfect for social dancing — especially at our Friday Socials, where you can practice everything you learned that week.
