How Do Four Week Salsa On2 Classes Work for Solo Dancers?
Many people want to learn Salsa On2 but do not have a dance partner to attend with them. That is completely fine at our studio. You can sign up entirely on your own for our group classes. We welcome individuals, friends, and couples alike. When you come to class alone, you will fit right in with the group from the very first minute. Group classes are $95 for 4 weeks.
During our four-week Salsa On2 sessions, partners rotate constantly throughout the lesson. This means leads and follows switch partners every few minutes. Rotating partners helps solo dancers practice with many different people in the room. You will never feel left out or stuck waiting on the sidelines. Every solo dancer gets equal time to practice the Salsa On2 footwork, timing, and turn patterns with partners.
Learning Salsa On2 as a solo dancer actually offers several big advantages. When you switch partners regularly, you learn how to lead or follow accurately with different body types and movement styles. You avoid picking up bad habits that can happen when you only dance with one person. Rotating helps build strong core skills, leading to clear communication on the dance floor wherever you go.
Our four-week Salsa On2 series breaks down the fundamental timing and rhythm of dancing on the two beat. We start with basic steps, body movement, and lead-follow connections. Because partners rotate, solo dancers quickly get comfortable applying these techniques with everyone in class. The friendly atmosphere makes it easy to focus on your timing, footwork, and musicality without feeling self-conscious.
Joining a four-week course without a partner is also a wonderful way to meet new people in Chicago. Our studio creates a relaxed and social environment where dancers support each other. By the end of the four-week session, you will know all your classmates by name. You build confidence both in your dancing skills and in your social interactions on the dance floor.
We are located at 4820 W. Irving Park Rd. in Chicago, right in the Irving Park neighborhood near Six Corners.
