What is the makeup policy for missed classes in a 4-week session?
Our 4-week group session costs $95 per person and offers structured progression each week. We understand that personal schedules can change unexpectedly due to work, travel, or family needs. When you miss a class during your active four-week period, you do not have to fall behind. We allow students to make up missed material by attending another available group class during the current session block whenever space permits.
To request a makeup lesson, simply text or call us at 717-PaSamba before your scheduled class begins. Giving us advance notice helps us manage class sizes and confirm space availability in alternate group times. You do not need a partner for makeup sessions because partners rotate constantly in all our group classes. Arrive a few minutes early so the instructor can quickly bring you up to speed.
Makeups must be completed within your current four-week session block unless special arrangements are made in advance. Unused class credits do not automatically carry over into future monthly cycles or different course tracks. This policy keeps our progression groups aligned so everyone moves forward together smoothly. If you know you will miss specific dates before signing up, reach out early to review options.
If an alternate group class time is not open during your current cycle, contact Dennis PaSamba Dance Company right away. We can suggest practice steps or review options to help you catch up before your next scheduled meeting. Located at 4820 W. Irving Park Rd. in the Six Corners area of Irving Park, our studio provides free parking to make your makeup visits convenient and stress-free.
Consistent attendance gives you the best experience, but our flexible approach ensures a missed day will not ruin your momentum. You get to keep learning without losing out on the valuable instruction included in your package. Our environment remains encouraging and structured so every dancer feels comfortable returning after an absence. Clear communication ensures your spot is saved and your learning path stays on course.
Please remember that tuition for the group session is non-refundable once the cycle starts. Makeup privileges are provided as a courtesy to accommodate real-life scheduling conflicts for enrolled students. By communicating promptly with our team via text or phone, you can maximize your four weeks of dance training. We look forward to seeing you at our studio at Six Corners in Irving Park soon.
Questions people ask
How do I notify the studio if I am going to miss a class?
Send a text or call 717-PaSamba as soon as you know you will miss your class. Advance notice allows us to check alternate schedule options for your makeup. It also helps our instructors manage class planning for that day.
Do I need to bring a partner to my makeup class?
No partner is needed when attending a makeup session. All of our group classes use a partner rotation system so everyone dances with each person. You can come on your own and participate fully in the group.
Can I roll over unused missed classes into the next 4-week session?
Makeup classes must generally be used within the active 4-week session period. Unused sessions do not automatically transfer to the next monthly cycle. Contact us at 717-PaSamba if you have an unusual situation to discuss options.
