Four Week Session Structure for Intermediate Bachata Dancers

Are you ready to take your intermediate Bachata dancing to the next level? Our four week session is carefully designed to build your skills step by step each week. Join us at 4820 W. Irving Park Rd. in Chicago to start improving your social dancing today.

How Is the Four Week Intermediate Bachata Session Structured?

Week one focuses on solidifying your core intermediate footwork and timing. We start the four week session by reviewing body movement, syncopated steps, and directional changes. You will refine your frame and connection to ensure your turn patterns stay smooth. Our studio at Six Corners in Irving Park provides a great environment with free parking. You do not need to bring a partner because all students rotate during the lesson.

In week two, we dive deeper into partnerwork combinations and turn patterns. We break down lead and follow technique for intricate hand wraps, hammerlocks, and double turns. Clear instruction helps both leads and follows understand the exact cues needed for seamless movement on the social dance floor. Rotating partners gives you a chance to practice these new leads and follows with different dancers throughout the class time.

Week three shifts the focus to musicality and smooth transitions. You will learn how to listen to the different instruments in Bachata music, such as the requinto guitar and the bongo drums. We teach you how to adapt your footwork and turn patterns to match the energy of each song section. This helps you express the rhythm more naturally while maintaining strong technique and control with your dance partner.

During week four, we put everything together into a cohesive intermediate routine. We review the turn patterns, footwork variations, and musicality concepts taught in the previous three weeks. This final week reinforces your muscle memory and builds confidence for social dancing. You will leave the four week session feeling comfortable leading or following complex Bachata combinations at any Latin dance event or social club in Chicago.

Our progressive four week session structure ensures you build confidence without feeling overwhelmed. Each week builds directly on the material learned in the previous class, creating a clear pathway to improvement. Dennis PaSamba Dance Company provides clear, direct feedback to help you clean up your technique. Located at 4820 W.
