What Is The Late Arrival Policy For Beginner Group Dance Classes?
We strongly recommend arriving 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled beginner group class starts. This gives you time to park, check in, change shoes, and relax before stepping onto the dance floor. Our studio is located at 4820 W. Irving Park Rd. in the Irving Park neighborhood near Six Corners. We offer free parking to make your arrival fast and simple. Being early helps you get settled comfortably without rushing.
If you are running less than 10 minutes late for class, please come right inside. Enter the main dance floor quietly so you do not disrupt the ongoing lesson. You can quickly set down your belongings, step into the group, and join the current rotation. Since no partner is needed and partners rotate frequently, you will be able to mix into the group lesson smoothly without causing any delays for others.
If you arrive between 10 and 15 minutes late, please check in briefly with the instructor or front desk staff before jumping onto the floor. The instructor will guide you on where to jump into the partner rotation safely. We want to ensure you catch the basic steps being taught. Group classes are structured in a 4-week series for $95, so every minute of instruction is valuable for building your dance confidence.
Arriving more than 15 minutes late can make it tough to catch up on new footwork. If you arrive this late, please speak with the instructor before joining. You are still welcome to observe the rest of the class from the side or warm up gently. This policy protects the learning flow for students who arrived on time. We want everyone to have a great learning environment during every group dance class session.
Because our beginner group classes feature constant partner rotation, arriving on time shows respect for your fellow classmates. Everyone moves through the rotation together, practicing footwork and timing. When you arrive on time, your peers get to practice every drill with a full room of partners. If you know you will be delayed, text us at 717-PaSamba to let our friendly staff know you are on your way.
Chicago traffic along Irving Park Road can sometimes be unpredictable during peak hours. We encourage all new students to plan extra travel time for their first few visits. Finding our facility at Six Corners is easy, and our free parking area saves you from searching for street spaces. Taking a few extra minutes to plan your drive helps ensure you never miss the warm-up portion of your group dance lesson.
If an emergency causes you to miss a large part of your scheduled class, reach out to us directly. Call or text 717-PaSamba so we can answer any questions about your 4-week series. Communication is key to staying on track with your progress. We are dedicated to keeping our beginner group lessons friendly, organized, and welcoming for every dancer who walks through our studio doors in Chicago.
