Salsa On2 is a smooth, musical dance style where you break on the second count of the music measure. Many dancers love On2 because it connects deeply with the clave rhythm and percussion instruments in Latin music. In our beginner group classes, we break down these fundamentals step by step. You will learn how to count the music, maintain your balance, execute basic turn patterns, and dance comfortably with different partners during every single session.
You never need to bring a partner to sign up for our Salsa On2 group classes. Our teaching method relies on rotating partners throughout the entire lesson. Rotating partners helps you build confidence quickly because you practice leading or following with people of various skill levels and heights. It also makes our group classes social and interactive, giving you a wonderful opportunity to meet friendly neighbors from Belmont Cragin, Irving Park, and nearby areas.
Our beginner group class structure is affordable, straightforward, and easy to fit into your busy weekly schedule. A full four-week course is just $95 per person. During these four structured weeks, you will build a solid foundation in Salsa On2 footwork, timing, body movement, and lead-follow connections. By repeating essential movements every week, you develop strong muscle memory, which helps you feel confident when dancing on a real social dance floor anywhere.
