Dennis PaSamba has been teaching Latin dance in Chicago since 1992, creating a supportive space where no experience is needed. You do not need rhythm, athletic skill, or past coordination to get started with us.
Our beginner group classes cost $95 for 4 weeks. You never need to bring a partner because we rotate partners throughout the session. Rotating partners helps everyone practice together and removes the pressure of dancing with just one person. Plus, our studio at 4820 W Irving Park Rd in Six Corners has free parking to keep your evening hassle-free.
During every class, we break down basic steps into simple, easy-to-follow movements. We teach foundational timing, lead and follow connection, and relaxed posture so you feel clear about what your feet are doing. You will never be put on the spot or expected to perform. We focus on fun, social dancing rather than strict perfection.

Do I need to bring a partner to class?
No, no partner is needed for any of our group classes. We rotate partners during every session so everyone gets to practice with different classmates. This creates a friendly group dynamic and builds your confidence quickly.
What should I wear if I feel self-conscious?
Wear whatever comfortable street clothes make you feel relaxed and confident. Smooth-soled shoes or sneakers work best so you can pivot easily. There is no dress code, so come as you are.
Is previous experience required to join?
No experience is needed at all. Our introductory series assumes you have never taken a dance lesson before. We walk you through every step slowly so you never feel left behind.
What if I feel like I have two left feet?
Most of our students walk in feeling the exact same way. Dennis PaSamba has guided nervous beginners since 1992 using patient, step-by-step instruction. You will be dancing comfortably before you know it.
