What Should You Expect from Our Couples Salsa Lessons?
We provide a relaxed environment where no experience needed and no partner needed to start dancing. Lead instructor Dennis PaSamba has taught Latin dance across Chicago since 1992, bringing decades of clear teaching to every lesson. We guide you through essential timing, simple footwork, and comfortable lead-and-follow hand positions so you can move smoothly with your partner.
Our group sessions are priced at $95 for 4 weeks. In each weekly class, we break down salsa rhythms into manageable steps that build your confidence turn by turn. Partners rotate during class drills to sharpen your leading and following skills, but couples who prefer to stick together for date night are always welcome to stay paired.

Do couples have to rotate partners during the salsa class?
Partners rotate during class to help dancers refine their connection and technique. However, if you attend as a couple and prefer to dance only with each other, you are welcome to stay together throughout the entire lesson.
What shoes and clothing should we wear to class?
Wear comfortable clothes that allow easy movement, such as casual everyday wear or athletic gear. For footwear, smooth-soled shoes, dress shoes, or dance heels work best on our floor, though clean sneakers are also fine for your first class.
What happens if we have no prior dance experience?
You will fit right in because no experience needed for our beginner classes. Dennis PaSamba teaches basic timing, core footwork, and simple turns from scratch so you build confidence step by step from your very first session.
