Mother-Son Dance Lessons in Chicago

A mother-son dance follows the same plan as a father-daughter dance: one comfortable step, a short song and a moment at the end for a hug. It is included in the 6-lesson package, $749 for the couple.

What mom learns

Mom needs no dance background. We teach a gentle side-to-side step she can do in her outfit and shoes, plus one slow turn if she wants it. Her son leads and keeps the count.

  • One easy step
  • Optional slow turn
  • A clear ending pose

Keep the song short

Ask your DJ for about 90 seconds of the song. A short dance keeps nerves down for mom and keeps guests watching. If the moment runs long, the DJ can invite the room onto the floor.

Mom usually joins for one or two of the six lessons, and the rest go to the couple's first dance.

Questions people ask

Can mom practice at home?

Yes. We send you off with the counts and the song edit so you can run it together a few times.
