What Is the Makeup Policy for Missed Class Sessions?
We understand that work schedules change, travel happens, or illness comes up unexpectedly. Our studio wants every student to get the full benefit of their dance experience. When you miss a regular group class, you are eligible to make up that lesson in another scheduled section during the current session. Letting us know in advance helps us keep class sizes comfortable and ensures your attendance record stays accurate.
The easiest way to notify us about an upcoming absence is by sending a text message. Text 717-PaSamba before your class starts to inform our staff that you will not be present. Giving advance notice secures your option to attend an alternate class time. Clear communication allows our instructors to keep track of your overall progress while keeping your dance schedule flexible and stress-free.
All makeup sessions must be completed within the active enrollment period or session term. Makeup classes do not carry over into future months or separate class series. We encourage students to complete their makeup class during the same week or shortly after the missed date. This keeps your muscle memory active and prevents you from falling behind on new steps.
You can take your makeup class by joining another group section of an equivalent level. For instance, if you miss a weekday lesson, you may attend a matching weekend or evening group option. Simply text our team at 717-PaSamba to confirm which upcoming class times fit your current level and schedule before arriving at the studio.
When arriving for your makeup session, park in our free parking lot at 4820 W. Irving Park Rd. in Chicago. We are conveniently located in the Irving Park neighborhood near Six Corners. Head inside to check in at the front desk before class begins, and let the front desk staff know you are attending a makeup session so we can sign you in.
Group class makeup policies apply specifically to group series sessions. If you are enrolled in private lessons, different scheduling guidelines apply for changing a booking. Private lessons require advance notice to reschedule without forfeiting the session. Text 717-PaSamba as early as possible if you need to adjust a private lesson time with your instructor.
Attending your makeup class promptly helps maintain your confidence on the dance floor. Regular practice makes learning partner dances like salsa and bachata much smoother. Taking advantage of your makeup options ensures you do not lose momentum while completing your full dance session with us.
