What to Expect in Cumbia Class
Join our Cumbia Level 1 class to learn the basics of this joyful dance. Our experienced instructors will guide you through fundamental steps and rhythms. You'll learn how to move with the music and connect with other dancers. We focus on creating a supportive and fun learning environment.
Cumbia is known for its energetic and flowing movements. You will practice core cumbia steps and turns. We will also cover proper posture and musicality. Each class builds on the previous one, helping you gain confidence on the dance floor. No prior dance experience is needed to join our Level 1 class.
Our group classes are designed for adults. You do not need to bring a partner. We rotate partners often, giving everyone a chance to dance with different people. This is a great way to meet new friends and improve your lead or follow skills. Expect a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in every class. We believe dancing should be an enjoyable experience for everyone. Come ready to move and have a great time learning cumbia.
Class Structure and Enrollment
Our cumbia classes are offered as 4-week sessions. The fee for a full session is $95. This covers all four weekly classes. We encourage students to attend every class for the best learning experience. Consistency helps you build skills and remember steps.
If you happen to miss a week, you can make up the class. Simply speak with the studio staff to arrange a make-up class. Please note that we do not offer refunds for missed classes or withdrawals. Your enrollment secures your spot for the entire session. This policy ensures fair access for all our students.
After completing Cumbia Level 1, you can continue your journey with Level 2. We often host Friday Socials where you can practice your cumbia. The Friday Social is a separate event and costs $15 to attend. It's a fun way to socialize and apply what you've learned. The social is not a substitute for a regular class.
