Song length

Cut a First Dance Song to 90 Seconds

Ninety seconds is long enough to feel like a moment and short enough that everyone keeps watching. Most songs need an edit to get there.

Ask the DJ for a short edit

Tell your DJ you want about 90 seconds and a clean fade or ending. Many DJs cut a chorus or skip the second verse. Get the edit early and bring it to your lessons.

Put the dip near the end

Place the dip on the last strong note of the edit. It gives the photographer a clear shot and a natural place for the music to stop or for guests to join.

Questions people ask

Can we cut it ourselves?

Yes, with any free audio app. Send the file to your DJ so they play the same version.
