Three parts
Every routine is split into three parts, one per lesson in the 3-lesson package ($399 for the couple).
- Entrance: the walk-in and first hold
- Middle: steps and a turn set to the verse and chorus
- Finish: a dip or pose on the last note
Not a generic routine
A copied routine fights the music. We count your song bar by bar, mark the lifts and quiet spots, and choose moves that match them. If the song has a long intro, we use it for the entrance instead of standing still.

We start by listening to your song together. We'll discuss its mood, tempo, and any specific moments you want to highlight. Then, we'll suggest movements that complement these elements. Whether you envision something romantic and flowing, or fun and energetic, we'll tailor the choreography to bring your vision to life.
Our goal is to make you feel confident and joyful on the dance floor. We focus on steps that are comfortable for both partners, ensuring you can relax and enjoy the moment. You'll learn to move with your partner in sync with the music, creating a memorable performance for yourselves and your guests.
Crafting Your Entrance and Exit
Beyond the core steps, we pay special attention to your entrance onto the dance floor and your graceful exit. The entrance sets the tone for your dance, transitioning smoothly from your arrival to the first steps of your choreography. We'll work on a natural, elegant way for you to take your positions.
Similarly, your finish is just as important as your start. We ensure the final pose or dip lands perfectly with the music's conclusion, leaving a lasting impression. This complete approach ensures every moment of your dance, from start to finish, is thoughtfully choreographed and rehearsed. It helps tell a complete story with your movements.
Beyond the Basics: Adding Polish
Once the core choreography is in place, we focus on adding those extra touches that elevate your dance. This includes working on your posture, arm styling, and facial expressions. These details help convey the emotion of your dance and make your performance even more captivating.
We also practice transitions between different sections of the song, ensuring your dance flows seamlessly. We'll refine your timing and connection with your partner, making every movement look effortless. Questions people ask
What if we change songs?
Tell us early. We can adapt the routine, but a new song after lesson two may need an extra session.
What if one of us has never danced before?
No problem! Many couples come to us with little to no dance experience. Our private lessons are tailored to your individual pace and comfort, making learning enjoyable for everyone.
Can we include family members in the choreography?
The 3-lesson package is for the wedding couple's private dance. If you choose the 6-lesson package ($749), it includes time for a parent dance or other special family member's routine. This added session is also a private lesson.
